The next step is to take out the inner energy absorber from the door panel before removing all retaining screws at the rear of the armrest as well as the single screw near the forward armrest assembly. Remove the armrest assembly by disconnecting its wire harness while securing the mirror finish and window finish and applique of the Door Lock Switch plate with duct tape. Combat the power Door Lock Switch assembly from its storage space inside the door trim panel and disconnect its wire harness. Take out the power Door Lock Switch from the switch plate applique of the armrest. Start by setting the power Door Lock Switch into the armrest switch plate applique and push it for engagement before proceeding. Place the wire harness on the Door Lock Switch assembly then replace the switch assembly into its pocket in the door trim panel while removing protective tape afterwards. Install the Door Armrest onto the door trim panel while securing it at both the rear and forward ends through 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque on four retaining screws and one screw. You should place the inner energy absorber onto the door panel before adding the upper trim piece to the door. To finish this process install the door trim panel while tightening the retainers at the back to 10 n.m (89 lb in).
