How to replace the right side exhaust muffler on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

Before replacing the right side exhaust Muffler you must securely position and lift the vehicle. You need to loosen the right side exhaust Muffler clamp and push the Muffler away from the hanger to complete extraction. Start by marking the location of the Muffler band clamp on the intermediate Exhaust Pipe and finish by grinding away the old clamp. Fasten a new Muffler band clamp around the intermediate Exhaust Pipe while placing the right Muffler into position. Thread the Muffler into the hanger while making sure the new Muffler band clamp sits correctly on the marked position of the intermediate Exhaust Pipe and the clamp bolt does not contact the Exhaust Pipe below. Screw down the right side exhaust Muffler clamp to 44 n.m (32 lb ft) before you put the vehicle on the ground.
