To access the cable anchor nut and grommet through the carpet roll-back stage you should remove the cable anchor nut followed by the cable and grommet from the floor surface. Lift the vehicle before separating the front cable from its intermediate connection and removing it from the frame bracket through its retainers. Begin installation by inserting the new cable and after that push the retaining tabs into place inside the frame bracket. Thread the front cable to the intermediate cable and direct the cable underneath the floor pan by inserting the grommet.
