Thorough cleaning must precede the inspection of all caliper bracket bolt threads together with all the knuckle mounting holes to achieve appropriate clamp load. You need to install gm p/n 12345493 threadlocker (Canadian P/N 10953488) on the Brake Caliper Bracket bolt threads before installing the caliper bracket with the bracket bolts at their specified torque of 120 n.m (88 lb ft). Place the rear brake pads and caliper as the last step of installation.
