Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic's wire or equivalent tool while it is detached from the mounting bracket to maintain hydraulic flexible brake hose connection when replacing the front Brake Caliper Bracket. Remove the caliper from its mounting bracket while maintaining connection of the hydraulic brake flexible hose then proceed to take out the front brake pads from their position. After caliper bracket bolt removal proceed with the step-by-step removal of the caliper bracket . Examining mounting holes in the knuckle together with caliper bracket bolt threads should occur before reinstallation to verify proper clamping force. Before installing the caliper bracket use threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) on Brake Caliper Bracket bolts and apply 180 n.m (133 lb ft) torque setting when installing the bracket bolts.
