2008 Chevrolet Impala Sway Bar Link Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace the rear sway bar link in the suspension on 2008 Chevrolet Impala?
A: Begin Sway Bar Link replacement of the rear suspension by supporting and elevating the vehicle. Set aside the Sway Bar Link nut that connects to both Sway Bar Link and sway bar before removing the Sway Bar Link nut from Sway Bar Link to strut. Move all equipment to the side before removing the Sway Bar Link from your vehicle. Begin Sway Bar Link installation by mounting it onto the vehicle before connecting it to the sway bar. Screw the lower Sway Bar Link nut onto the Sway Bar Link then tighten it to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Install the upper Sway Bar Link nut into the strut-Sway Bar Link combination while tightening it to 52 n.m (38 lb ft). Finally, lower the vehicle.
