To replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor at a 4T45-E Auto Transaxle, ensure the vehicle is supported in proper manner and positioned square against risk of personal injury with a hoist. Start by lifting the vehicle, as well as removing the electric connector. Next, unscrew the output speed sensor stud and pull out the output speed sensor from the transaxle case and check the O-ring for damage and replace if necessary. Take out the O-ring from the output speed sensor, and then put a new O-ring on the output speed sensor and replace it in the transaxle case. Install the output speed sensor stud and fix it at 11 N.m (8 lb ft), reconnect the electrical connector, and finally lower the vehicle.
