    Q:
How to service the Vehicle Speed Sensor on the Automatic Transaxle-4T40-W/4T45-E on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before you work on the Vehicle Speed Sensor for automatic transaxle-4t40-w/4t45-e you have to take the negative Battery Cable off of the battery terminal. Support the vehicle while lifting it up then disconnect the speed sensor electrical plug. Pull the sensor and retaining stud straight apart to prevent injuring the case. Install clean and dry Vehicle Speed Sensor by joining it to the retaining stud while tightening the stud to 12 nm (97 inch lbs.). You should attach the sensor connector and let the vehicle down to earth then hook up the negative battery lead with a proper torque of 15 nm.

How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on Chevrolet Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacement of the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable from its terminal and taking necessary safety precautions. After supporting the vehicle at height you should disconnect its power sensor connector. Take out the retaining stud and sensor by pulling them straight away to keep the case from getting damaged. Prepare and clean the new Vehicle Speed Sensor before attaching it plus the retaining bolt and fasten the stud to 12 nm (97 inch lbs.) torque. End the procedure by linking the negative battery lead and screwing it into place at 15 nm torque.
