How to replace the front brake line on 2008 GMC Canyon?

Elevate the vehicle and take off the front tire and wheel set to begin replacing the front brake hose. Thoroughly sanitize the brake hoses and brake pipes to remove any debris particles. After using the back up wrench take the brake pipe free from the brake hose and install a protective plug into the brake pipe fitting. Check the retaining clip at the frame where you disconnect the brake hose from brake pipe. Change the clip when you see that it is flat or broken. Disengage the front brake hose frame clip and move the brake hose bolt and gaskets off the brake caliper to remove the hose from the brake caliper. Take off the copper gaskets from the brake hose bolt to avoid sticking to the brake caliper or bolt. Place brand-new copper metal gaskets on the brake hose while installing it and tighten the brake caliper bolt to 40 n.m (32 lb ft). The exposed brake pipe needs its plug or cap removed first. Connect the brake hose to the brake pipe through proper alignment and use only suspension-safe paths for the hose placement. Apply a back up wrench to tighten the brake hose until it reaches 17 n.m torque. Also secure the new brake pipe retaining clip into place during this process. Drain hydraulic brake fluid from the system before putting on the tire wheel set and letting the vehicle return to the ground at its base level.
