Support the brake caliper assembly with heavy mechanic wire or an equivalent when you detach it from its mount point but maintain connection with the hydraulic flexible brake hose to avoid damage and potential fluid leaks. Move the front brake caliper assembly to a safe position at the side of the vehicle while inspecting the brake pads.
