• Q: How to replace the A/C Condenser on 2009 Cadillac CTS?

  A: To replace the air conditioning condenser, recover the refrigerator first and raise the vehicle and support it. Uninstall the front air deflector retainers , front air deflector bolts , and the front air deflector . Second, remove the condenser upper bracket bolts, lower mounting bolts, and discharge line bolt, and remove the discharge line from the condenser and throw the O-ring away. Remove condenser tube bolt and disconnect the condenser tube from the condenser, discarding the O-ring. Once the condenser is removed and if a new one is being added, put the prescribed volume of PAG oil directly into it. Put the condenser and a fresh O-ring at the condenser tube, and then make connection with the condenser through the condenser tube connected to the condenser using a condenser tube bolt fixed at its position having a tightness of 9 Nm (80 lb in). Mount a new O-ring to discharge line, mount it to condenser and fasten it with discharge line bolt with tightness of 9 Nm (80 lb in). Tighten the condenser lower mounting bolts to 5.4 Nm (48 lb in) and the upper bracket bolts to the same torque. Put on the front air deflector using front air deflector bolts and retainers . Lower the vehicle and mount the power steering cooler mounting bolts. Finally, evacuate and charge the A/C system, and do a leak test on the fittings using the J 39400-A - Halogen Leak Detector.
