To access the crankshaft sensor you must remove the exhaust manifold heat shield and disconnect the CKP electrical connector followed by removing the crankshaft sensor bolt so you can take out the sensor. Start by positioning the new crankshaft position sensor then use a 10 Nm tightening torque to install the sensor bolt. Reinstall the exhaust manifold heat shield while making sure all its bolts reach 10 Nm (89 lb in) torque before placing the vehicle in its lowered position.
