How to replace the left side exhaust manifold (LY7) (3.6L) on 2009 Cadillac SRX?

The replacement of the left side Exhaust Manifold ly7 (3.6L) must begin with the removal of the Exhaust Manifold heat shield. The next step requires extraction of the oil level indicator. Disassemble the bolts securing the Catalytic Converter while also removing the Exhaust Manifold nuts then discard the gasket while keeping its reuse to a minimum. Eject the old Exhaust Manifold together with its gasket then wash and check the condition of the Exhaust Manifold. Before installing the Catalytic Converter inspect its heat shield crossover unless you find wear or damage that requires replacement. The first step includes installing the new Catalytic Converter seal/heat shield to the converter and after that you should position the new Exhaust Manifold gasket to the Exhaust Manifold. Position the Exhaust Manifold on the Catalytic Converter and the Cylinder Head using the gasket for installation and insert Exhaust Manifold bolts before tightening them to 20 nm (15 lb ft). Fasten the Catalytic Converter nuts with torque setting of 50 nm (37 lb ft). The last step of the installation process involves fixing the Exhaust Manifold heat shield.
