  A: To change the Ignition Coil for bank 1 (LP1, LY7) (3.6L) first switch ignition off and remove the engine cover, not disconnecting the fuel pipes or hoses. If you need to replace the Ignition Coil for cylinder 1 or 3, you need to remove and reposition the Intake Manifold, which involves separating the air cleaner duct from the Throttle Body, as well as the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from the right bank camshaft cover while not separating the upper Intake Manifold from the lower Intake Manifold. Then unserve the Intake Manifold bolts, Intake Manifold brace bolts(1 and 2) unbolt the brace and reposition the upper Intake Manifold with the lower to achieve enough clearance for removing the Ignition Coil. Remove the Ignition Coil (coil), disconnect the Ignition Coil electrical connector(s), and then remove Ignition Coil bolt(s). For installation, install the Ignition Coil(s) back in, in a tightened Ignition Coil bolt(s) to a value of 10 nm (89 lb in), reconnect the Ignition Coil electrical connector(s), if the need arises then install the Intake Manifold. Finally, replace the engine cover.
