2009 Chevrolet Aveo Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2009 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: To change engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, first, relieve the pressure in the coolant system, then apply disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Drain the coolant below the ect sensor level, and disconnect the ect sensor connector, at that time being careful not to damage the coolant sensor because it will influence the fuel control system. Take off the ect sensor and put it with the new one and tighten it to 20 nm (15 lb ft). Then connect the ect sensor connector and later refill the cooling system, and finally connect the negative Battery Cable.
