Before switching the air conditioning compressor hose the technician needs to recover the refrigerant. Raising the vehicle after removing its charge air cooler outlet pipe is necessary. Separate the electrical connector from the pressure transducer before removing the bolt that connects the compressor to the condenser hose assembly along with taking out the hose assembly. The sealing washers should be discarded while the compressor hose needs removal from the condenser along with the seal washer removal. Lower the vehicle before removing the compressor hose nut from the evaporator line while keeping the wiring harness detached from the compressor hose bracket to remove the bracket bolt. Keep the seal washer for disposal. You need new sealing washers for compressor and condenser fittings before attaching the A/C Compressor and condenser hose assembly to the compressor while securing it with the bolt and tightening to 20 nm (15 lb ft). Install the compressor hose with its fresh seal washer and secure the hose using the nut while torquing it to reach 20 nm (15 lb ft). The compressor hose bracket receives the wiring harness before installing its bolt which requires a torque setting of 20 nm (15 lb ft). The procedure requires the fitting of a new seal washer onto the compressor hose before connecting the hose and bolt to the condenser while tightening the bolt to 20 nm (15 lb ft). Connect the electrical connector to the pressure transducer followed by vehicle lowering then reinstallation of the charge air cooler outlet pipe before finally performing evacuation and charging of the refrigerant system through the j 39400-a halogen leak detector leak testing of fittings.
