How to replace the evaporator outlet A/C hose on 2009 Chevrolet Equinox?

A necessary first step before changing the evaporator outlet hose is to recover the present refrigerant. Start replacement of the evaporator outlet hose by first unwrapping the nut on the hose's end. Subsequently detach the owner outlet hose from compressor hose connectivity. First detach the evaporator outlet hose and liquid line retainer plate nut at the thermal expansion valve (TXV). After that remove the evaporator outlet hose and liquid line from the txv. Following removal of the vehicle's evaporator outlet hose discard the sealing washers along with both the evaporator outlet hose and the compressor hose. The system requires protective caps to cover the txv alongside liquid line and compressor hose while preventing both contamination and desiccant saturation. Installation starts by taking off protective caps then applying new sealing washers to the evaporator outlet hose as well as the liquid line and compressor hose. Install the evaporator outlet hose and liquid line on the txv while screwing the nut down to a torque level of 20 nm (15 lb ft). Secure the evaporator outlet hose to the compressor hose then tighten the evaporator outlet hose nut to a torque of 20 nm (15 lb ft). As the last step perform a/c system charge followed by leak tests through j 39400-a on all affected a/c joints.
