How to replace the evaporator outlet A/C hose on Chevrolet Equinox?

For the purpose to replace the evaporator outlet hose, start by recovering the refrigerant using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A). Start off by removing the evaporator outlet hose nut mounted on the hose at the evaporator outlet and disconnect the hose from the compressor hose. Then, next, remove the evaporator opening hose and liquid line retainer plate nut from the thermal expansion valve (TXV) and then remove the evaporator outlet hose and liquid line from the txv. Pull off the evaporator outlet hose from the vehicle, and throw out the sealing washers on the evaporator outlet hose, and the compressor hose. Put protective caps on the txv, liquid line, and compressor hose so that it cannot get dirty and the desiccant becomes saturated. For installation, pull protective caps, install new sealing washers on evaporator outlet hose, liquid line and compressor hose. Connect the end of the evaporator outlet hose and liquid line to the txv making sure to apply torque on the nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Connect the compressor hose to the evaporator outlet hose and make sure the evaporator outlet hose nut is also tightened to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Finally, recharge the a/c system and check the affected a/c joints for leaks with the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
