To insert the condenser of the hvac system first retrieve the refrigerant. Remove the front fascia, and in case of pontiac models, remove the
Hood Latch. Then, the removal of the battery box air duct, and condenser Radiator fan module (CRFM) closeout panel is needed. Remove the liquid line nut and liquid line from the condenser making sure that a protective cap is installed on the liquid line to prevent contamination and desiccant saturationnof the liquid line. Next will be the removal of the compressor hose nut and the hose from the condenser while capping the hose compressor to avoid contamination. Remove crfm bracket bolts from the Radiator support and pull out crfm brackets. Remove the bolts retaining the top of the condenser from the Radiator and remove the condenser from the vehicle. For installation, the stated amount of pag oil should be added to the condenser, and the seals of the Radiator to condenser should be checked to ensure orifices are in proper place. Mount the condenser to the lower retention clips on the Radiator and secure it by mounting the bolts retaining the top of the condenser to the Radiator and tighten them on 9 n.m (80 lb inWebRequest). Replace the crfm brackets and their bolts back into the Radiator support and tighten these to 20n.m (15 lb ft). Outfit the compressor hose with a new sealing washer and attach the hose to the condenser, tightening the nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). And finally, take off the protective cap of the compressor hose. Replace the new seal washer on to the liquid line and fix it to the condenser.tighten the nut on the liquid line to 20 n. M (15 lb. Ft.). Finally, follow the installation of the crfm closeout panel, the battery box air duct, pontiac models Hood Latch assembly, and front fascia. Evacuate and charge the a/c system, check the affected a/c joints on leaks by means of halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
