  A: The replacement of the air conditioning Evaporator core starts with removing both the hvac module and Evaporator case assembly. The thermal expansion valve (TXV) bolts must be detached from the backing plate before removing both the txv and backing plate from the Evaporator pipes and then extracting seal washers from the Evaporator pipes. Extract the Evaporator core by unscrewing the two halves of the blower case assembly which are separated while taking out the hvac module front of dash seal. When installing the Evaporator core, add suitable pag oil together with a thorough check of its sealing position. Position the Evaporator core into the blower case assembly and put its two halves together before securing them with screws tightened to 1.5 nm (13 lb in). The service begins with installing the hvac module front of dash seal followed by adding new seal washers to the Evaporator pipes before securing the txv and backing plate to the pipes using 3.5 nm (31 lb in) screw torque. Install the Evaporator case assembly and the hvac module as the last step.
