How to replace the Back Up Light Switch on a Getrag 5 Speed manual transmission on 2009 Chevrolet HHR?

In order to change the back up lamp switch on a Getrag 5 Speed manual transmission, remove the left front wheel initially. Remove the back up lamp connector and next, take out the back up lamp switch assembly. While installing the new switch, only a socket should be used to avoid compromising the switch assembly and apply pipe sealant. Secure the switch to 33 Nm (24 lb ft) and reconnect the back up lamp connector. Finally, install the left front wheel.
