How to replace the front brake disc on 2009 Chevrolet HHR?

Begin the process by lifting the vehicle then taking off the tire and wheel unit. Use mechanic wire to hang up the brake caliper after disconnecting the bolts that hold the caliper bracket. Take off the brake caliper and bracket unit then discard any Brake Disc keepers that are present. When putting back the old Brake Disc note its location on the Wheel Hub before taking it out. Use tool (J 42450-A) to clean rust off both hub/axle flange and Brake Disc using part (J 41013). Check both disc contacting areas for debris before putting in the Brake Disc and placing it in its correct location. Check assembled lateral runout measurements when bringing back a repaired disc and fix it if the readings surpass approved amounts. Place the brake system components on the wheel mount before installing the brake caliper bracket bolts which should be tightened to 115 nm (85 lb ft) for models j41 and jm4 or 130 nm (96 lb ft) for jl9. Put back the tire and wheel parts then let the vehicle drop to ground. Also apply pad and disc burning when service involved new pads or disc replacement.
