How to replace the rear brake line from the body to the axle on 2009 Chevrolet HHR?

To replace the rear brake hose from the body to the axle, first lift and support the vehicle. Take off the tire and wheel assembly, and then remove all dirt and foreign substance from the brake hose ends and brake pipe fittings. A back up wrench needs to be used to disconnect the brake pipe fittings from the brake hose. The ends should be capped or plugged to prevent fluid loss and contamination. Do away with the brake hose retaining clips from the hos mounting brackets and unlatch the hose from the brackets. For installation, fit the new brake hose into the mounting brackets with the hose fittings resting in the notch of the brackets and the hose retaining clips. Connect the brake pipe fittings on the rear brake hose using a back up wrench and tighten them to 21 Nm (15 lb ft). Put the tire and wheel assembly back into place, while making sure that the hose does not touch any part of the suspension. if it does, unplug the hose and fix the problem. Lastly, release the hydraulic brake system and bring the vehicle down.
