How to replace the front brake disc on 2008 Chevrolet HHR?

The first step to replace a front Brake Disc is to lift and secure the car. Transfer the tire and wheel connection before unscrewing the brake caliper bracket's bolts. Fasten the brake caliper to heavy mechanic wire so the hydraulic flexible brake hose stays free from harm. Take off the brake caliper and bracket unit while removing the Brake Disc hold downs when present. When putting back the original Brake Disc mark how it sits on the Wheel Hub before you take it out. You need to clean the hub/axle contact surface using Wheel Hub resurfacing kit j 42450-a and the Brake Disc surface using rotor resurfacing kit j 41013. Check the disc mating points for dirt and install the Brake Disc in its proper position as previously noted. After fixing the Brake Disc take measurement of combined side runout and bring it into specifications if needed. Reinstall the brake caliper and bracket system to the Wheel Hub and adjust its bracket bolts to 115 n.m (85 lb-ft) on j41/jm4 models or 130 n.m (96 lb-ft) on jl9 models. Place the tire wheel back on and lower the vehicle before burning the pads and discs during the process.
