How to replace the front brake disc on 2010 Chevrolet HHR?

You need to lift your vehicle while supporting it followed by removing the wheel and tire set. After removing the brake caliper bracket bolts use heavy mechanic wire to suspend the brake caliper above the hydraulic flexible brake hose. Next step is to take off the brake caliper with its bracket as well as get rid of the Brake Disc retainers when they are present. Before discarding the Brake Disc validate its position next to the Wheel Hub with a marking method. Use parts (J 42450-A) to clean rust and debris from hub/axle surface and (J 41013) to clean the Brake Disc. Look for dirt on each mating surface before placing the Brake Disc in position and lining it up with the Wheel Hub according to the marks. Position the brake caliper and bracket assembly on the wheel knuckle after removing its support and bolt the bracket to the wheel knuckle with torque values of 115 nm (85 lb ft) for j41/jm4 or 130 nm (96 lb ft) for jl9. Reassemble the tire and wheel afterward to end the process while carrying out pad and disc burnishing when applicable.
