Start by removing brake shoes together with the Wheel Cylinder before changing the backing plate of your rear brakes. Start by removing the rear Wheel Bearing and hub assembly from the backing plate. Then disconnect the rear park brake cable end fitting from the drum Brake Backing Plate. The next installation step involves removing the rear Brake Backing Plate from the rear axle assembly. Installation begins with attaching the new rear Brake Backing Plate to the rear axle assembly and subsequently attaching the rear Wheel Bearing and hub assembly. Reconnect the rear park brake cable end fitting to the drum Brake Backing Plate after which install the Wheel Cylinder before installing the brake shoes.
