How to replace the rear brake disc on 2009 Chevrolet Malibu?

In order to replace the rear Brake Disc, park brake must be released and the vehicle raised and supported. Remove the tire and wheel for better visibility during the operations. With your brake caliper away from its mount use heavy mechanic wire to support the brake caliper leaving no stretches on hydraulic brake flexible hose without discharging from the hose. Drive the punch through the welded end to break the suspension knuckle's connection with the brake caliper mounting bracket. Then pull off the brake caliper mounting bracket and caliper as an assembly. Mark the Brake Disc position on the wheel studs and remove it slowly by rotating it if needed. Remove any rust or pollutants from the hub/axle flange and the Brake Disc mating surfaces with application of the j 42450-a and j 41013 tool. Check the mating surfaces to see if they have no debris, install the Brake Disc to the hub/axle flange with the use of the matched mark for the correct orientation. If the disc was part of a brake system repair, the assembled lateral runout (LRO) should be measured for the best act. If it gets over specifications, make it right. Reinstall the brake caliper mounting bracket and caliper assembly to suspension knuckle and install the tire and wheel assembly. Sloping the vehicle, and given Brake Disc was refinished or replaced, burnish the pads and discs.
