    A: The first step for parking brake rear cable replacement requires releasing the park brake pedal fully. Remove the front floor console together with the rear carpet. The right or left rear park brake cable needs to be detached from both console park brake bracket and front park brake cable equalizer. Support the vehicle while you remove plastic retaining clips from the body as well as any cable attachments from the bracket if the system includes such components. The first step involves tire and wheel assembly removal and subsequent removal of the rear park brake cable retainer bolt until the rear park brake cable becomes loose from the caliper park brake lever. Start by lowering the vehicle before completely removing the pass-through grommet together with the park brake cable from the body. You must connect the park brake cable to the vehicle then fasten it with the pass-through grommet to the body using a plastic retainer clip. Lift the vehicle a second time to attach the rear park brake cable onto the caliper park brake lever while tightening the rear park brake cable retainer bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in). Replace all the plastic retainer clips as well as the cable attached to the bracket and the tire and wheel assembly. The vehicle should be lowered to attach the right or left rear park brake cable at both the console park brake bracket and the front park brake cable equalizer. The last step includes putting front floor console and rear carpet back and performing four pedal cycling for the park brake.
