How to Properly Install a Shift Linkage Boot on 2009 GMC Canyon?

Remove shift lever assembly (w/o D06) or (D06). For non-D06 models, remove console. Remove control-lever-boot screws, tilt boot off lever. Shift to Neutral, remove control-lever-housing bolts, housing and gasket, mask opening. Reassemble and reinstall housing, gasket, boot, screws, console and shift lever, ensuring clean sealing surfaces.
