Before starting the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 1 replacement, secure the vehicle with jack stands on the opposite end and hoist straps to avoid vehicle damage or injuries. Start by disconnecting the HO2S connector afterwards you can remove the HO2S with the J 39194-B Oxygen Sensor Wrench. Apply GM P/N 5613695 anti-seize compound to threads during new sensor installation when needed since this compound combines liquid graphite and glass beads to produce easier thread removal in future service operations. Use the J 39194-B Oxygen Sensor Wrench to install the HO2S so that torque reaches 42 Nm (31 lb ft). Reconnect the HO2S harness connector after finishing and lower the vehicle to the ground.
