How to replace the left side exhaust manifold (LLT) on 2010 Cadillac STS?

The replacement process of the left side Exhaust Manifold (LLT) starts with removing the Exhaust Manifold heat shield followed by the oil level indicator removal. Catalytic Converter nuts and Exhaust Manifold bolts need removal at this point while discarding the gasket will be necessary. After the steps remove the manifold exhaust followed by discarding the gasket. Through complete examination check the condition of the Exhaust Manifold. Before installing the system check if the Catalytic Converter seal or heat shield surfaces have wear or damage. Replace such components when necessary. Safely position the new Exhaust Manifold gasket onto the Exhaust Manifold before mounting the Exhaust Manifold with the gasket both on the Catalytic Converter and Cylinder Head. Fasten the Exhaust Manifold bolts using 20 nm (15 lb ft) torque then torque the Catalytic Converter nuts to 50 nm (37 lb ft). The last step involves reinstallation of the oil level indicator with the Exhaust Manifold heat shield.
