The replacement process begins by removing both the oil level indicator and Catalytic Converter nuts and Exhaust Manifold bolts. Old gaskets should be disposed during this step. After discarding the gasket from the Exhaust Manifold remove it and proceed to clean and inspect the Exhaust Manifold. The placement of the Catalytic Converter seal/heat shield requires an inspection for wear and damage before installation.
