How to service the exhaust hangers and maintain the support of the exhaust system on Cadillac STS?

Beginning the service process requires raising and supporting the vehicle to work on the exhaust hangers and support the exhaust system. Use a tool to unfasten the front exhaust hanger from the rear suspension hanger rod while adding suitable grease to the exhaust pipe hanger rod before removing it. Proceed by prying the front exhaust hanger out from the exhaust pipe hanger rod. A suitable lubricant on both the body support bracket rod and the tail pipe hanger rod will enable the removal of the tail pipe hanger when you pry it free from its attachment points on both components. The installation process requires a soapy solution applied to the body support bracket rod while also using it along with the tail pipe hanger rod as well as the inner diameter of the tail pipe hanger for easier installation. The body support bracket rod should be lubricated before installing the tail pipe hanger over the tail pipe hanger rod and then over the body support bracket rod.
