The technician must first remove the left-hand front wheel before proceeding to take out the lh front splash shield retainers and the lh front splash shield. The j 44827 tool allows you to separate the rear transmission oil cooler toc lines from their connection with the Radiator. Detach and eliminate the rear toc line to transmission retainer bolt before using j 44827 to eliminate rear toc lines from the transmission while discarding the o-rings. Start by removing the bolt from the toc retainer bracket followed by removal of the toc lines. Begin toc line installation by putting in place the toc retainer bracket bolt while tightening it to 16 nm (12 lb ft). Install new o-rings to the rear toc lines after connecting them to the transmission then tighten the rear toc line transmission retainer bolt to 25 nm (18 lb ft). First route the rear toc line to the front toc line before attaching them to the Radiator. Secure back the lh front splash shield while keeping retainers intact before replacing the lh front wheel.
