How to replace the Engine Control Module (ECM) on 2010 Chevrolet Aveo?

The replacement process of Engine Control Module (ECM) starts by disconnecting the negative cable connecting to the battery. The lock lever on the ecm connector needs unlocking before the ecm retaining nuts can be removed successfully. You must install the ecm in its proper position and fasten the ecm retaining nuts to 8 nm (70.8 lb in) torque. Install the battery negative cable then lock the ecm connector locking lever.
