Draining the cooling system comes first before replacing the radiator inlet hose. Next, remove the radiator support. J 38185 - hose clamp pliers should be used to loosen the radiator inlet hose clamp at both the radiator and radiator inlet hose end before hose removal. Use j 38185 - hose clamp pliers to loosen tension on the inlet hose clamp between the radiator and Water Pump before removing each hose. Take out the radiator inlet hose from your vehicle. It is important to install the hoses and radiator while keeping their reference marks in alignment to avoid radiator fitting strain. Apply clean coolant lubrication to interior hose diameters prior to radiator inlet hose installation on the vehicle. Start by connecting the radiator inlet hose to the Water Pump then tighten its clamp with j 38185 - hose clamp pliers. Once the radiator inlet hose reaches the radiator you must tighten the clamp at the radiator using the j 38185 - hose clamp pliers.
