  A: Begin Water Pump replacement by unscrewing the intake duct and Drive Belt from their locations. Step 1 includes draining the cooling system before moving both hose clamps at the Water Pump and disconnecting the hoses. You need to switch the location of heater and surge tank outlet hose clamps before disconnecting those hoses. Lift away the Water Pump bolts and take down the Water Pump before removing its gaskets. Test the Water Pump condition during prep work for installation. Attach the Water Pump to its engine block position by applying fastener care procedures during installation. Tighten the Water Pump bolts gradually to 15 nm (11 lb ft) at the starting stage and finish at the final torque of 30 nm (22 lb ft). Put back the heater hose to its inlet and surge tank outlet connections before adding clamps. Also reattach the inlet and outlet hoses plus clamps. After adding the Drive Belt put coolant into the system. Hang the air cleaner intake duct back into its original position.
