How to replace the Knock Sensor for Bank 1 on 2010 Chevrolet Impala?

To remove, the Knock Sensor for Bank 1 firstly, lift and support the vehicle. Take off the left knock sensor electrical connector and after that, you can loosen and remove knock sensor. When installing the new knock sensor, it is advisable not to apply thread sealant on the threads of the sensor as they have a factory coat that may compromise the sensors capability to catch detonation. Attach and tighten the knock sensor to 25 NM (18 lb ft); reconnect the left knock sensor connector and finally tweak the vehicle.
