How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Sensor 2 on 2010 Chevrolet Impala?

The first step to replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) sensor 2 is vehicle elevation followed by support. The connector position assurance (CPA) retainer must be unfastened to remove both the ho2s electrical connector and its connector. Remove the ho2s from the Catalytic Converter by taking off the ho2s electrical connector clip from the heat shield. The old sensor threads can be treated with anti-seize compound p/n 12377953 so it becomes simpler to remove later. This compound contains liquid graphite with glass beads for this purpose. Do not forget to tighten the ho2s connection at the Catalytic Converter with 42 nm (31 lb ft). The ho2s electrical connector needs reconnection followed by cpa retainer installation and ho2s electrical connector clip attachment to the heat shield before driving the vehicle down.
