Begin the Crankshaft rear oil seal replacement by removing the Flywheel. The procedure demands extra care because both the Crankshaft and the seal bore can get damaged. A suitable tool should be used to remove the Crankshaft rear oil seal from its housing inside the Crankshaft rear oil seal housing until you can discard the old seal. The new Crankshaft rear oil seal requires a light application of clean engine oil on its lip prior to installation. Place the plastic installation sleeve which accompanies the new seal onto the Crankshaft. The Crankshaft rear oil seal installation requires the rear seal installer (J 44215) with the driver handle (J 8092) along with a hammer to set the new seal squarely into its position in the Crankshaft rear oil seal housing until the seal reaches its full depth. Finally, reinstall the Flywheel.
