How to replace the rear crankshaft seal on GMC Canyon?

Observe the Flywheel carefully when taking off the Flywheel; avoid damaging the Crankshaft or seal bore. To replace the Crankshaft rear oil seal, dismantle the fiywheel. Next, pry the Crankshaft rear oil seal out of the Crankshaft rear oil seal housing with an appropriate tool and dispose of the older seal. For installation, apply a little engine oil to lubricate the lip of the new Crankshaft rear oil seal cleanly. Mount the plastic installation sleeve which is included with the new seal on the Crankshaft. Next apply a bit of rear seal installer (J 44215) in conjunction with the driver handle (J 8092) and a hammer in order to install the Crankshaft rear oil seal in the Crankshaft rear oil seal housing with the seal point facing the engine, facing squarely. The seal will bottom out in the housing as it is completely installed. Finally, reinstall the Flywheel.
