How to replace the fan shroud on Buick Century?

The replacement process for the Fan Shroud begins with cooling fan removal and disconnecting the cooling fan wiring harness from each cooling Fan Motor. Start with harness removal of the electrical system from the Fan Shroud before removing the cooling Fan Blade fasteners and fan blades. The cooling fan motors bolts need to be unscrewed before the fan motors can be retrieved from their position inside the Fan Shroud. The installation process starts with placing cooling fan motors on the Fan Shroud before tightening their bolts to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.) according to the fastener notice. You need to change any bent or damaged Fan Blade because unbalanced blades could fail while operation to create a serious safety hazard. The installation process of fan blades starts with checking for damage and balance and continues with mounting the blades using cooling Fan Blade nuts which should reach 6 nm (53 inch lbs.) torque. The Fan Shroud receives the cooling fan electrical harness and the wiring harness attaches to every Fan Motor before reinstallation of the fans.
