Draining the Fuel Tank must begin beneath the Fuel Filler Hose before starting the tube replacement process. Begin by opening the fuel filler door then remove the fuel filler cap there. The next step involves removing the sealing ring from around the fuel filler tube after which you should raise the vehicle. You should start by removing the bolt from the fuel filler tube ground wire then take out both the wheel house opening fuel filler tube cover and fuel filler tube ground wire bolt . Before you take out the fuel filler tube from the Fuel Filler Hose you should loosen the fuel filler tube hose clamp . The removal of Fuel Filler Hose requires complete Fuel Tank uninstallation. Installation of the fuel system requires placing the Fuel Tank back into position if it needed to be removed. After performing the fit check on the fuel filler tube with the Fuel Filler Hose place the fuel filler tube hose clamp securely while tightening it to 3.5 n.m (31 lb in). Tighten the bolt which attaches to the fuel filler tube ground wire to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The process includes first installing the wheel house opening fuel filler tube cover then performing a vehicle lower. Next install the sealing ring around the fuel filler tube. Fuel the tank before checking for leaks while you install the fuel cap to close the door.
