    Q: How to replace the water pump (RPO L26) on Buick Lucerne?
    A: Begin Water Pump replacement (part RPO L26) by draining the cooling system first. After disconnecting the Drive Belt you can remove Water Pump Pulley bolts then extract the pulley from its position. You first need to put the Power Steering Pump aside after disconnecting its bolts and moving the pump into position. Remove both Water Pump bolts and the pump itself. Inspect and clean both pumping surfaces before adding the new Water Pump Gasket. Use a new Water Pump Gasket before installing the Water Pump according to the specified fastener requirements. Secure the Water Pump using j 45059 angle meter torque measurements during back ups at 15 n.m (11 lb ft) and plus an additional 80 degrees. Migrate the Power Steering Pump back to its place and torque its bolts to 25 foot-pounds of torque. Fasten the Water Pump Pulley bolts slightly tight before you return the belt to its proper position. After placing the Water Pump Pulley bolts in position and setting torque to 13 n.m (115 lb in), fill the cooling system following the correct procedure.
