How to properly service and replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor on Buick Regal?

The replacement process for mass air flow (MAF) sensor must start by switching off ignition and removing the fuel injector sight shield. First step is to detach the Mass Air Flow Sensor electrical connector which connects to the Mass Air Flow Sensor by removing it from its position on the Mass Air Flow Sensor. First disconnect the Mass Air Flow Sensor electrical connector before you remove the screws that affix the Mass Air Flow Sensor to the Throttle Body to remove the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Install the Mass Air Flow Sensor onto the Throttle Body by inserting the screws and fasten them at 3 n.m (27 lb in). Reinstall the fuel injection sight shield after you reconnect the Mass Air Flow Sensor electrical connector to the Mass Air Flow Sensor.
