How to install the camshaft on Buick Rendezvous?

A clean oil coating needs to be applied to the Camshaft journals while gm p/n 12345501 (Canadian P/N 992704) or an equivalent product should be used on the Camshaft lobes. Start the installation process by putting in the Camshaft sprocket bolt onto the Camshaft while keeping it only finger tight. Begin inserting the Camshaft into the Camshaft bearings while applying gentle rotational motion. The installation requires fitting the Camshaft thrust plate before tightening its screws to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The last step includes installing the Camshaft Position Sensor along with its bolt while setting torque to 10 n.m (89 lb in).
