How to replace the engine oil and oil filter on Buick Rendezvous?

Before engine oil and Oil Filter replacement begin by raising and supporting the vehicle. Use a drain pan to position under the Oil Pan Drain Plug before you take out the plug to allow full removal of the oil. Set the Oil Pan Drain Plug into place before fastening it to 26 nm (19 ft. Lbs.). Proceed by placing the drain pan underneath the Oil Filter and then remove the Oil Filter so all oil can drain fully. Before tightening the Oil Filter apply engine oil to its gasket and set the torque to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). The service technician must lower the vehicle before adding oil until reaching the proper fill line while operating the engine for leak detection.
