How to replace the front seat cushion pad and cover on Cadillac CTS?

The SIR System needs to be disabled in order to change the front seat cushion cover along with pad. Position the seat cushion assembly upside down on a sanitized work area after pulling it from the seat assembly. Detach the J channels connecting the seat cushion cover to the frame before taking out both the seat cushion cover and pad from the frame. The seat cushion pad must be positioned onto the seat cushion frame while the seat cushion cover should be spread over it to avoid wrinkles or lumps during installation. A proper fit will result when hook and loop fasteners on the seat cushion cover and pad move into full engagement. Reinstall J channels to their positions on the seat cushion frame after turning the assembly upside down.
