Separate the two bolts attaching the left Exhaust Manifold to the front Exhaust Manifold pipe before breaking free the bolt which connects the front Exhaust Manifold pipe to the crankcase. Unfasten the coil cassette ground wire ground nut on the Cylinder Head and detach the bolt connecting the front Exhaust Manifold pipe to the Cylinder Head. A replacement egr valve inlet pipe is mandatory when it separates from the water crossover because of its crush seal functionality. Remove the front Exhaust Manifold pipe from the left Exhaust Manifold while taking out its front Exhaust Manifold pipe seal through the egr inlet pipe connection and discard the seal component. Disconnect the retainer installed on the Exhaust Manifold flange. Set the retainer along with a brand new front Exhaust Manifold pipe seal over the left Exhaust Manifold before inserting the front Exhaust Manifold pipe around the Exhaust Manifold. First install a new Exhaust Manifold pipe seal together with the Exhaust Manifold flange seal retainer onto the Exhaust Manifold rear pipe flange before inserting the two retaining bolts into their correct positions through the flange and into the retainer . Finger tighten these bolts to position the seal and retainer for their work. First insert a new gasket on the flange and then pass two retaining bolts through the flange into the gasket. Installer should position the Exhaust Manifold rear pipe around the front pipe before moving it up to the right Exhaust Manifold then tighten the two bolts to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Tighten both retaining bolts that connect the rear pipe through the Exhaust Manifold flange seal retainer to 25 nm torque (18 ft. Lbs. Torque). Secure the Catalytic Converter to its studs by using new gaskets and attach the converter to the Exhaust Manifold rear pipe before tightening its four nuts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
