How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Cadillac Escalade?

The servicing of the Throttle Position Sensor starts by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Disconnect the generator and unplug the electrical connector that belongs to the throttle position (TP) sensor. Start by removing the attaching screws of the tp sensor and proceed with sensor removal and complete o-ring seal separation. The tp sensor o-ring seal requires placement onto the tp sensor while installing the tp sensor on the Throttle Body with the throttle valve in the closed position and correct alignment to the tp sensor drive lever on the throttle shaft. You should install the tp sensor attaching screws and tighten them to 2 n.m which converts to 18 lb in. The generator installation requires reconnection of the tp sensor electrical connector along with restoration of the generator and final negative Battery Cable reattachment.
